Fire Prevention Open House (Oct. 28, 2000)

The SMFPA held a fire prevention/safety open house on October 28, 2000. Several hundred visitors came to see equipment, demonstrations, tools, and learn about how you can better protect your home from fire and hazards. The theme of this year's Fire Prevention campaign was "Fire Drills: The Great Escape!" Too few people develop and practice home fire escape plans, and this lack of planning can prove deadly in a home fire.
