Schooley's Firefighters train at FDNY (April 12, 2008)
Ten of Schooley's Mountain Firefighters recently attended a training session at the New York City Firefighting training center at Randall's Island.

The training was the 2nd annual Lt. James Curran Memorial seminar that covered Forcible Entry techniques, Rescue Company Operations overview and Private Dwelling Operations (Engine and Ladder Co. operations). The training was led by Captain Robert Morris, Rescue Co. 1 FDNY, Lieutenant Tom Donnelly, Rescue Co. 1 FDNY, Chief Stephen Geraghty, Chief of the FDNY Fire Academy and Chief Peter Hart, Division 7 FDNY. The seminar was sponsored by the NY Firefighters Burn Center Foundation. Attendees from SMFPA were Captain Al Pierce, Lt. Rick Welch, Lt. Bill Nickle, Engineer Keith Heimburg, FFs M. Cecere, K. Flannery, D. Labato, G. Mackenzie, K. Strawn, R. Welch.
