Firehouse Facilities:

The fire company does not presently rent out the rooms at the fire station for use by the public. We've received many inquires regarding use of the dining room, but due to cost, maintenance and liability, are unable to offer the use of any of rooms in the station for private use. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Join Us:

The Fire Company is always looking for new members.  If you are interested in helping your community, please contact us via the means listed above, or stop by the station any Monday evening for an application. Any interested members that do not have a firefighter certification in New Jersey will be required to attend the fire academy at no cost to the potential firefighter. 

General Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age (Juniors 16)

• Must work or reside in Washington Township, Morris County

• Must successfully complete 155 hour Firefighter I training within one year of joining

• Shall be in possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license

• Shall have a physical examination, current within the last year, by a licensed physician in the State of New Jersey

• Shall complete a department application form

• Must be able to maintain established percentages of calls, drills, and details

Firehouse Tours:

Residents interested in learning more about the volunteer fire department can arrange for tours and demos of equipment. Besides town wide events held annually, scouting and civic organizations should contact us to arrange a visit which can include discussions on fire prevention, equipment, apparatus and funding.
