This four wheel drive vehicle is used by the assistant fire chief to respond to emergency situations and establish needs and parameters for an emergency scene. This allows for evaluation of a situation prior to arrival of other equipment, to determine the proper apparatus needed for any particular incident. The vehicle is equipped with radios to communicate with various Township, County, and Mutual Aid (out of town or county) agencies, as well as breathing apparatus and basic firefighting tools. It was purchased by the Fire Company with funds from generous donations.
It is a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV 4 wheel drive purchased and equipped by 1st Priority Emergency Vehicles. It is equipped with a 160 amp alternator, dual batteries, towing package, skid package, bucket front seats with radio/siren console, vinyl bench rear seat and Whelen LED emergency lighting system, with top mounted solar panel for trickle charging the vehicle battery. It contains cabinetry in the rear to house fire fighting equipment and command radios and files.
