Kitchen Fire (April 16, 2010)

Washington Township Fire companies were dispatched to a reported kitchen fire on Naughright Road. Arriving police units advised of smoke showing. Long Valley Chief Griese took command and advised units of flames showing out of the kitchen window. Two 1-3/4" lines were stretched and the fire was knocked down quickly. Due to the volume of heat and smoke, the roof was vented. Overhaul revealed significant melting of plastic items on the second floor as well as blistering of paint on wood.
